Microsoft is warning Windows users about a fast-approaching end-of-life date for one of its former flagship operating systems. The Redmond-based tech giant is once again reminding users that support for Windows 8.1 is ending soon, with this big cut-off date pencilled in for January 10, 2023. After this date, Windows 8.1 users won't receive any technical support as well as software updates and security fixes - with the latter crucial for when bugs or hacks emerge.

Home Office data shows that 108,542 vehicles were stolen between April 2021 and March 2022 in England and Wales - a 22 per cent increase on the previous year. 

Aviva examined claims data and found that cars with keyless technology are twice as likely to be pinched as those without these features, and criminals are becoming increasingly brazen as more are ditching the cover of darkness to steal vehicles in broad daylight. 

Intruders broke into a third-party cloud storage service LastPass shares with affiliate company GoTo and gained access to "certain elements" of customers' information, the pair have confirmed.

LastPass did not define what it meant by "certain elements," saying it was unsure what data was looked at: "We are working diligently to understand the scope of the incident and identify what specific information has been accessed this morning."

Planetearthpure.com is a malicious browser hijacker virus that infects the user’s browser. It reroutes infected web users to a different search engine with inorganic search results.
