Only one lab in China can safely handle the new coronavirus

They did it to themselves. We did it to them. A guy eating a hearty bowl of bat soup was the vector. Take your pick, but I smell bull$h!t!

As an escalating viral outbreak unfolds in China, only one lab in the country meets the required biosafety standards needed to study the new disease.

The lab happens to sit in the center of Wuhan, the city where the newly identified coronavirus first appeared, according to the Hindustan Times, an Indian news outlet. The facility, known as the Wuhan National Biosafety Laboratory, is housed within the Chinese Academy of Sciences and was specifically designed to help Chinese scientists "prepare for and respond to future infectious disease outbreaks," according to a 2019 report published by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

China’s New Coronavirus: An Examination of the Facts

Notable is that while SARS spread to about 40 countries, the infections in most countries were few and deaths almost zero, and it was exclusively (or almost exclusively) Chinese who were infected, those in Hong Kong most seriously, with Mainland China suffering little by comparison.
This appears to be precisely the case with this new virus, in that most of the infected persons (sofar) are Chinese. News reports speak of infections appearing in Thailand or the US, but those (at least to date of writing) were all Chinese who had been to Wuhan. There have been no cases so far of infected Caucasians.
.
As with SARS, this new virus appears to be tightly-focused to Chinese. At this stage it is too early to draw specific conclusions.

8 Things to Consider Before Panicking About the Coronavirus

Phillip Schneider, Staff Writer
Waking Times

If you read the news, you’ve likely heard about the “deadly” coronavirus in China. You’ve probably seen videos of sick people and heard about the impending doom that our great nation faces if we don’t do something about this grave threat coming from China.

But have you ever thought about why we’re hearing so much about this virus, despite it affecting only a relatively small number of people in another country? Who benefits from a mass media hype around the Coronavirus?

1. This Story is Getting Massive Hype

No one can deny the incredible hype that this story is getting. But, why?

The Median Age of Wuhan Virus Fatalities Is 75

We go through this every couple of years. Mad cow disease, bird flu, SARS, ebola are just a few of the past examples. In the end, none of them ever racked up high body counts.

The Wuhan virus has so far killed 26 people, all of whom were elderly or had pre-existing conditions. In fact, the median age of the first 19 victims is 75-years old.

Coronavirus - Another Illuminati Psy Op?

They pull the same scams over and over and the people keep falling for them.

More than 200 viruses cause cold symptoms. They are the most common infectious diseases in humans and are mainly caused by coronaviruses or rhinoviruses. These cold viruses mutate constantly and therefore there is no way to formulate vaccines. Google " WHAT CAUSES COLDS" and you'll find many articles saying CORONAVIRUSES are just common cold viruses.

But mass media again wants TO PANIC EVERYONE. This is the annual panic party to promote social control through fear, anger and distraction. For perspective, I repost this 2014 article about the Ebola panic. (Thanks Andrew for the suggestion.)

REALITY CHECK: Coronavirus fear porn

China is shutting down, or so we’re being told. Cities are on lockdown. Disneyland is closed. New Year is cancelled. Every day, China closes down more theatres or other more public spaces in their desperate attempts to thwart the spread of this terrible coronavirus.

The headlines tell this virus is “mutated”, and that China’s “lockdown” is affecting 33 million people. It all sounds very scary.

The reality is that 26 people have died.

For comparison’s sake, 80,000 people died of flu in 2018 in the United States alone. (at least, according to the CDC).

Coronavirus – or rather, this particular strain of coronavirus, as they are very common and mostly harmless – has had 800 reported cases to go along with those 26 reported deaths. That’s a mortality rate of just over three per cent.

President Xi Jinping calls situation grave as China scrambles to contain virus

China's leader has called the accelerating spread of a new virus a grave situation, as cities from the outbreak's epicenter in central China to Hong Kong scramble to contain an illness that has infected more than 1200 people and killed 41.

President Xi Jinping's remarks, reported by state broadcaster CCTV, came at a meeting of Communist Party leaders convened on Lunar New Year — the country's biggest holiday whose celebrations have been muted — and underlined the government's urgent, expanding efforts to control the outbreak.

Travel agencies have been told to halt all group tours, the state-owned English-language China Daily newspaper reported, citing the China Association of Travel Services.

January 24, 2020First, a few updates. Things are moving fast.

The Chinese government has locked down Wuhan, a city of 11 million people, owing to the “threat of the coronavirus.” There are also travel restrictions in several other Chinese cities. What does all this prove?

Answer: Nothing.

It proves the Chinese government wants to install tighter controls. It doesn’t lead to the conclusion that a coronavirus is making people sick or killing them.

Post-Brexit Britain Eyes New Forceful Role In Asia

Authored by David Hutt via AsiaTimes.com,

When Britain leaves the European Union (EU) later this month, it will be free to chart its own independent course in foreign affairs and fulfill years of promises to build a truly “global Britain.”

That will likely entail a historic realignment of its foreign policy interests from the Middle East and Africa to the “Indo-Pacific,” one of the three “primary centers of the global economy and political influence”, after North America and Europe, according to the United Kingdom’s last National Security Capability Review published in March 2018.

The Indo-Pacific is currently home to most of the world’s largest and fastest growing economies, as well as the center of US-China geopolitical competition, which isn’t likely to dampen down anytime soon.

Mystery Chinese Virus Has Likely Infected Over 1,700 As It Sweeps Across China And Japan

While there have been more than 60 confirmed cases of a new mystery virus emerging from Wuhan, China, UK experts estimate that closer to 1,700 have been sickened with the SARS-like pneumonia, according to the BBC. Meanwhile, SCMP reports three suspected cases in Shenzhen, Shanghai.

"I am substantially more concerned than I was a week ago," disease specialist Prof Neil Ferguson told the outlet.

The work was conducted by the MRC Centre for Global Infectious Disease Analysis at Imperial College London, which advises bodies including the UK government and the World Health Organization (WHO). -BBC

Wuhan International Airport has a catchment population of 19 million individuals [1].

Many have already noticed: The US really, really doesn’t feel like the world leader, or even as a ‘first world country’. Of course, I write that sarcastically, as I detest expressions like ‘first world’, and the ‘third world’. But readers know what I mean.

When I used to live in New York City, more than two decades ago, returning from Japan was shocking: the US felt like a poor, deprived country, full of problems, misery, of confused and depressed people, homeless individuals; in short – desperados. Now, I feel the same when I land in the US after spending some time in China.

PS752 Shot Down In Regime Change Attempt

We now know that it was a missile fired by an Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) missile complex that brought down Ukrainian flight PS752. We also know that it was no accident, bur rather, a deliberate act.

Whether the missile was fired due to the actions of a human traitor within the IRGC or due to remote hacking into the missile’s control systems is unknown; however, the outcome is the same – nearly 200 dead civilians whose deaths can be blamed on the IRGC.

The idea behind the shootdown appears to be to undermine the current Iranian leadership by discrediting it’s main supporter – the IRGC.

The Deeper Story Behind the Assassination of Soleimani. Washington Threats to Engage in False flag Sniper Shootings. Iraq Prime Minister

Here is the reconstruction of the story:

[Speaker of the Council of Representatives of Iraq] Halbousi attended the parliamentary session while almost none of the Sunni members did. This was because the Americans had learned that Abdul-Mehdi was planning to reveal sensitive secrets in the session and sent Halbousi to prevent this. Halbousi cut Abdul-Mehdi off at the commencement of his speech and then asked for the live airing of the session to be stopped. After this, Halbousi together with other members, sat next to Abdul-Mehdi, speaking openly with him but without it being recorded. This is what was discussed in that session that was not broadcast:

Abdul-Mehdi spoke angrily about how the Americans had ruined the country and now refused to complete infrastructure and electricity grid projects unless they were promised 50% of oil revenues, which Abdul-Mehdi refused.

The complete (translated) words of Abdul-Mahdi’s speech to parliament:

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF what Prime Minister Abdul-Mehdi is saying is true (and I believe it to be), then what the President had done, was an insane, and unhinged, retaliation because of a business deal between China and Iraq to develop its oil, preventing a US-centric company from doing this.

Folks, this is more than a little scary to me, and it should be to you as well.

Hong Kong Officials Suspect Pneumonia Outbreak in China Could Be SARS-Like Disease

Hong Kong medical experts believe that the viral pneumonia outbreak in the central Chinese city of Wuhan may be a result of a new kind of coronavirus, similar to that which causes severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), a viral respiratory illness that killed hundreds in 2003.

Wuhan’s health commission has confirmed that seven of the 59 patients are very ill, but none of them have died. All 59 patients have been quarantined. The commission has also said that it has traced around 163 people who had close contact with the patients and will continue tracing other contacts.

The Leftist Cult vs. The Trump Cult: Similarities And Differences

Some of the alternative media is starting to catch on.

Enter Donald Trump, a kind of artificially created focal point machine, a figure that is designed to absorb liberty movement talking points and then regurgitate them in an alphabet soup puddle on Twitter. This rhetoric is relatively effective in that many conservatives recognize parts of the soup and find comfort that Trump “must be on their side”.

I have outlined in numerous articles Trump's dubious background and behavior. To summarize, we often hear lip service from Trump on anti-globalism and anti-elitism, even though it is an undeniable fact that he has saturated his cabinet with globalists and elitists.

We heard anti-banker talking points from Trump during his campaign, even though Trump has a longstanding relationship to the Rothschild family and works side-by-side with Rothschild and Goldman Sachs bankers in the White House.

Seventy Years of U.S. Destabilisation in China. U.S. Sponsored Uyghur Insurgency in Xinjiang

The Pentagon’s strategies towards China have somewhat mirrored those they directed against the USSR: Utilisation of proxy groups, extremists and ethnic minorities, along with client states.

The Turkistan Islamic Party (TIC), a terrorist organisation, was founded by Uyghur jihadists in 1988, just as separatist uprisings were breaking out in Xinjiang province, north-western China. The Turkistan Islamic Party, previously known as the East Turkestan Islamic Movement, received CIA sponsorship from its early existence.

In contradictory fashion, the Turkistan Islamic Party, which is based largely in north-western Pakistan, is deemed a terrorist organisation by the United States, along with other major countries like Russia, and of course China and its neighbour Pakistan.

Why I Don’t Criticize Russia, China, Or Other Unabsorbed Governments

By Caitlin Johnstone

Depending on whose political echo chamber I happen to be arguing with on a given day, one common criticism I run into a fair bit which many of my readers have surely also encountered is that I put all my energy into criticizing the foreign policy of the United States and its allies.

“You’re not anti-war, you’re only anti-AMERICAN wars!” they say, as though they’re delivering some kind of devastating slam-dunk point. “If you’re so antiwar, why don’t you criticize Assad’s war in Syria? If you’re such an anti-imperialist, show me where you’ve ever once criticized Russian imperialism, or Chinese imperialism?”

2019: A disastrous year for Trump’s foreign policy

Twenty-nineteen could best be described as a year when Donald Trump’s foreign policy unraveled on so many fronts. It became ever more erratic, one-sided and personalized, changing with the US president’s mood swings. The crisis, as many would call it, has been a long time in the making, and the implications will surely cast a long shadow over the new decade.

Trump, a self-proclaimed deal maker, is floundering as much internationally as he is domestically. The US, on his watch, arguably has less leverage with its allies than it has had at any time in modern history. Trump’s foreign policies—from the Middle East and North Korea to Venezuela— have largely failed

The Uyghur Issue: How Can the U.S. Dare Lecturing China About the Rights of the Muslims?

The majority of Uyghur people are Muslims. They have their own, ancient, specific culture and most of them are, of course, very decent human beings. Northwest China is their home.

The “problem” is that Urumqi, Xinjiang, are located on the main branch of BRI (The Belt and Road Initiative) – an extremely optimistic, internationalist project which is ready to connect billions of people on all continents. The BRI is infrastructural as well as cultural project, which will soon pull hundreds of millions of people out of poverty and under-development.

Therefore, Washington has decided to act, in order to preserve the status quo and its dominance over the world.

Step one: to antagonize, provoke and to smear China by all means, be it over Hong Kong, Taiwan, South China Sea or, above mentioned “Uygur Issue”.

Step two: to try to turn a part of China’s constitutionally-recognized national minority – Uyghurs – into “rebels”, or more precisely, terrorists.

"We Cannot Be Isolated": Iran Warns At Start Of Joint Naval Drills With Russia & China

This past year witnessed the United States nearly go to war with Iran in the Persian Gulf, after a summer of 'tanker wars' and the September Saudi Aramco attack, but now it appears the new year will witness a superpowers balancing act of sorts play out in the region.

FT reports of an unprecedented development in the gulf region:

Russia, China and Iran launched their first joint naval exercises in the Gulf of Oman on Friday in a direct challenge to US influence in the Middle East. The move reflects growing co-operation between the US’s two main rivals and the Islamic republic, which is under sanctions imposed by Washington.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It is almost as though the US government desperately wants to start a war but have the blame for starting such a war laid squarely on the shoulders of the countries enumerated above; unfortunately "plausible deniability", seems to be the attitude of those involved with US Statecraft these days, rather than creating a cohesive foreign policy, where war is not invoked, but geopolitical wins are achieved through responsible, moral, and hard won negotiations.

US Defense Secretary Eyes Pullout From West AfricaRedeployment from region would be first in moves aimed at Russia and China

US Defense Secretary Mark Esper is interested in seeing a substantial reduction in troops and operations ongoing in Western Africa, with the troops being redeployed to areas closer to Russia and China.

This comes, ironically, amid speculation about the Islamist factions in the Sahel, and suggestions this might be a growing priority for the US. Esper, however, has made much of wanting to have more troops directly lined up against Russia and China for “Great Power” competitions.

Among the pullouts in West Africa would be ending US operations in Mali, Niger, and Burkina Faso. The end of US involvement in Niger would include abandoning the $110 million drone base that the US just got finished building and bringing into operation.

After West Africa, the plan is that the US will also draw down forces in Latin America, and subsequently then cut troop levels in Iraq and Afghanistan, all as part of a new pivot to Eastern Europe and the Pacific.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is madness, writ large, represented to the American people as logical foreign policy; But to me, however, this "repositioning" of American troops, ever closer to Russia and China, is just a couple of steps short of creating a situation where we will be dealing with a shooting war with Russia and/or China.

I looked at Esper's background, both personal and professional, to find a motive for this, to see if he, like Secretary of State Pompeo, was someone with a personal belief in a the Rapture; it is not, but there us another avenue of Esper's background which suddenly caused his thought process come completely into focus.

In an article from rollingstone.com, we have the following made clear;
Trump’s Pick for Defense Secretary Is as Swampy as You’d ExpectThe article goes on to state: "The president officially conferred the nomination to Esper on Monday. The following day, Esper testified before the Senate Armed Services Committee, where another entry on his resume was pulled into the spotlight: the seven years he spent as the top lobbyist for Raytheon, the defense contractor that does billions of dollars of business with the government every year."

When it comes to these contracts, there is nothing like a "former lobbyist" in a position to do a corporation good, as is Esper, in his current position as Secretary of Defense.

This makes his "vision" (and his "logic") crystal clear, to anyone who is paying attention. The issues of him wanting perhaps to get as close to war as possible, eating up billions of Defense Department dollars, without actually going to war, can then be seen in its proper perspective.

As a result of this ‘trade war’ China has let the yuan slide versus the USD which is a warning to Trump, specifically Mnuchin, popularly known as one of the most slippery dealers (IndyMAC and One West) to ever walk the earth (and China knows that). China is hoping that a lower yuan will offset tariffs just as the US has ‘weaponized’ the dollar and has imposed sanctions and tariffs on China. New airstrip in Cambodian jungle sparks fears China is planning to use country as military base

A new runway being constructed in a Cambodian jungle has added to fears that China is preparing to base troops around the southeast Asian country.

The New York Times reported that the runway, being constructed by a Chinese firm at Dara Sakor International Airport near Cambodia's southwestern coast, has a tight turning bay: a style often used by fighter jet pilots.

At 10,500 feet long it will be the longest runway in the country, and will be located near ports the US fears may also be used by Beijing's troops.

Cambodia borders the Gulf of Thailand, which neighbours the South China Sea, where China has expanded its military presence in a disputed territory over the past decade.

Sonny Bill Williams stance on Chinese oppression of Muslim minority called 'massive' by expert

Sonny Bill Williams' support of the minority Uighur ethnic group in China has been labelled as "massive" by political scientist Professor Anne-Marie Brady.

The All Black mirrored the stance of football star Mesut Ozil which drew an angry response from China by Tweeting his support yesterday.

Cross-code star Williams may further provoke Chinese officialdom with his social media post, which denounces the treatment of Uighurs — a Muslim minority group native to Xinjiang, the supposedly autonomous region in China's northwest.

China has been systematically targeting them, incarcerating as many as two million in facilities it describes as "vocational training centres". In truth, they are modern day gulags where torture and other human rights abuses are rife.

'Direct threat to peace': China raises alarm as US Space Force receives first funding

y.
Foreign ministry spokesman Geng Shuang told reporters on Monday that Beijing was "deeply concerned" and "resolutely opposed" to the Space Force, which received its first funding after US President Donald Trump signed the annual military budget last week.

The Chinese foreign ministry spokesman said Washington's new military branch sets a dangerous precedent for the militarization of outer space.

The specific US actions are a serious violation of the international consensus on the peaceful use of outer space, undermine global strategic balance and stability, and pose a direct threat to peace and security in outer space.

He called on the international community to "adopt a cautious and responsible" approach to space, in order to prevent it from becoming a conflict zone

Webmaster's Commentary:

Geng Shuang is completely correct in his assessment; Trump added this "enhancement" to the budget bill, in order to control actions of governments he doesn't like on this planet, or with which he has a very complicated relationship.

I think China falls under that last characterisation very well.

Tesla Picks Pockets Of Chinese Banks As It Borrows Another $1.4 Billion

Tesla, which supposedly has lots of cash in the bank and tons of working capital (just ask David Einhorn), is tapping a group of Chinese banks for a relatively small $1.4 billion USD, five year loan, for the company's Shanghai plant. Part of the loan will be used to roll over an existing loan, according to Reuters.

Among the banks participating in the loan are China Construction Bank, Agricultural Bank of China, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China and Shanghai Pudong Development Bank.

Earlier this year the banks had offered Tesla an even smaller 12 month facility of 3.5 billion yuan (about $475 million USD) that comes due in March of 2020. The new loan will help Tesla roll over the previous debt and the rest will be used on Tesla's "China operations".

This is a "gateway project" for the Chinese government, in hopes of encouraging other companies to manufacture their products in China; the Presidents of the banks which are collaborating in issuing this loan may be experiencing a bit of "Agita" right now, but will have to hold their noses until the loan is (hopefully) repaid in full.
