"NATO Is At The Gates": Embattled Lukashenko Says He's Deployed 'Combat Ready' Troops To Western Border

There are unconfirmed breaking reports that Belarus' embattled President Lukashenko has indicated he's ordered troops deployed on the country's western border with "full combat readiness". This follows his provocatively telling supporters that "NATO is at the gates" while reaffirming that he wouldn't let Belarus' fate be dictated from the outside as both mass protests and widespread strikes threaten is continued rule after the contested Aug.9 election which many chrarge was "rigged".

“NATO troops are at our gates. Lithuania, Latvia, Poland and … Ukraine are ordering us to hold new elections,” he told supporters at a rally in Minsk on Sunday. He further alleged that NATO tanks and aircraft were deployed a mere 15 minutes from the Belarusian border, something which NATO has since denied.

Belarusian Media Publish Alleged Opposition Program to Move Minsk Away From Russia Toward West

Belarusian state television has publicized what it says is the platform of the united opposition, with the document, the authenticity of which has yet to be independently verified, said to include elements which would dramatically weaken Belarus's relationship with Russia and move Minsk toward closer relations with the West and NATO.

The program, dubbed the ‘Emergency Package of Reforms for Belarus’, is said to have been approved by the main opposition candidate, Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, during the election campaign. According to Belarus 1 TV, the document was recently pulled offline, but remains accessible in Google’s cache.

The program purportedly proposes abolishing the Union State with Russia and erecting a proper border with the country, leaving the Eurasian Union and Customs Union, and withdrawing Belarus from the Collective Security Treaty Organization military alliance, which in addition to Russia and Belarus includes Armenia, Kazakhstan,

Webmaster's Commentary:

I frankly don't know if Russia's President Putin can stop this from happening, but the way this is framed, makes one think that the US, NATO, and Europe are squarely behind this move toward the West, and away from Russia.

Will he call for EU to support Yellow Vests? Moscow accuses France’s Macron of hypocrisy after Belarus protest intervention

The Russian Foreign Ministry called Emmanuel Macron a “hypocrite” after he used a Sunday tweet to publicly call for the European Union to “continue to mobilize” on the side of anti-government protesters in Belarus.

The ministry’s spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova, wrote on Facebook on Monday that the French president should call for support for those taking part in protests in the EU, not Belarus, which lies outside of Brussels’ orbit. The landlocked country is a full member of two alliances which serve as alternatives to the EU and NATO in Europe – the Eurasian Economic Union and the Collective Security Treaty Organization.

Moscow outraged after bug found in Russian military attache car in The Hague, summons Dutch Charge d'Affaires

The Russian Foreign Ministry on Monday expressed its outrage after tracking equipment was found in a Russian military attache car in The Hague, the home of the Dutch government and the International Court of Justice.

Dominique Kuhling-Bakker, the Dutch Charge d'Affaires in Moscow, was summoned to the ministry in Russia's capital.

“The Russian Foreign Ministry lodged a strong protest to the Ambassador of the Netherlands, in connection with the discovery of tracking equipment in the car of the Russian military attache in The Hague,” the Russian diplomatic agency said. “The Dutch diplomat was informed that it is immediately necessary to take comprehensive measures to prevent such incidents, which are counter to the provisions of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.”

Lithuania says Russian military help in Belarus would mean 'an invasion'

Russian military help in Belarus would constitute “an invasion”, Lithuanian foreign affairs minister Linas Linkevicius said on Monday.

“There are no reasons for military support from Russia, and no legal or other grounds for it. It would constitute an invasion into the country and would destroy the last traces of its independence”, Linkevicius told reporters in Vilnius.

“Russia would risk a lot if it did it, in the face of what is going on in Belarus, in the face of the popular support. It should figure out that an invasion would not be justified, neither legally, nor morally, nor politically”, he added.

The Latest Russian Fighter Jet Blows America's Away

Built to be the deadliest hunter killer aircraft of all time, the F-35 has quite literally become the hunted. In every scenario that the F-35 has been wargamed against Su-30 Flankers, the Russian aircraft have emerged winners. America’s newest stealth aircraft – costing $191 million per unit – is riddled with such critical design flaws that it’s likely to get blown away in a shootout with the super-maneuverable Sukhois.

Stubby wings (that reduce lift and maneuverability), a bulbous fuselage (that makes it less aerodynamic) low speed and a super hot engine (which a half decent radar can identify) are just a few of the major flaws that will expose its vulnerability during air combat.

A knife at NATO's throat: Why Belarus matters to the US

Belarus has garnered a surprising number of headlines during the pandemic and an election season. Western commentators and some leaders have rightly argued for standing with tens of thousands of Belarusians protesting President Alexander Lukashenko’s obvious rigging of the country’s recent presidential election. Kremlin threats of Russian intervention to help Lukashenko crush the protests raise the stakes for NATO dramatically. If Vladimir Putin gains de facto control of Belarus and the ability to station Russian troops in that country, he could put at serious risk NATO’s ability to defend its Baltic members and, thereby, the credibility of the entire alliance project.

Russia offers military help to Belarus

Russian President Vladimir Putin offered military support to Belarus's embattled President Alexander Lukashenko on Sunday as the Russian-allied authoritarian ruler faces massive protests and calls for his resignation.

Reuters reported that the Kremlin released a statement announcing that Putin had informed Lukashenko that Russia's military was standing by to assist Belarusian military forces in controlling protests and stopping any would-be coup attempts, though the news service also reported that no Russian presence was visible on the streets of the country's capital.

Belarus President Moves Air Assault Brigade To Western Border In Response To NATO Drills; Says Russia Will Provide Security Assistance

Belarusian president Alexander Lukashenko said that an air assault brigade would move to Belarus’ Western border in response to NATO exercises in neighboring nations, even as the country reels from massive anti-government protests which Lukashenko has dubbed a "color revolution" orchestrated by foreign agents. Lukashenko also said that Russian President Vladimir Putin promised him to help securing safety of Belarus if needed, state news agency Belta reported.

Speaking on state TV, Lukashenko said he was “worried” that NATO was carrying out military exercises in Poland and Lithuania, which he views as an arms build-up on Belarus’ borders.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I don't think Lukashenko's attempt at misdirection is going to help him here, and I really have to wonder about that public statement regarding Russia's assurance that it will "assist him", to try to put the blame on NATO for all of Belarus’ economic and geopolitical instability.

First ever railway bridge connecting Russia & China to open in 2022

The long-awaited cross-border railway bridge linking Russia and China across the Amur river is scheduled to be commissioned in the first quarter of 2022, authorities in Russia’s Jewish Autonomous Region announced on Wednesday.

The 2,209-meter-long (1.4 mile) structure will link Russia’s Far East with China’s northernmost Heilongjiang province. The Nizhneleninskoye (Jewish Autonomous Region) to Tongjiang (Heilongjiang province) bridge will be the first railway bridge between the two countries. It is expected to bring bilateral trade to new highs.

China has already completed the construction of its part of the structure. As for the Russian side, the region’s acting governor Rostislav Goldstein said earlier it “would be preferable to complete all the work on time, which is the first quarter of 2021.”

Too little, too late – but the open letter ‘It’s time to rethink our Russia policy’ at least opens the free-speech gates in the US

A group of 103 international-relations scholars has called for change in America’s course on Russia in an open letter titled ‘It’s time to rethink our Russia policy.’ One is tempted to respond simply, “No sh*t.”

More appropriately, such a call might have been a surprise, but it has been needed since about 1992.

It’s not only the text that’s comment-worthy; the group of signatories is of some interest, too. Some of the statement’s backers possess a sound record of sincere support for a realist or at least reasonable American policy towards Russia. Indeed, at least one of them, Dmitry Simes, has been accused of being a Kremlin asset in the Soviet vigilante style of US media copiously on display during the Russiagate hysteria.

'Simple and Effective': Top Medic Explains Why Russia’s Anti-COVID Vaccine Can Be Trusted

The emergence of the first vaccine against the coronavirus infection has sparked interest across the globe, as the drug promises not only an end to COVID-19-related deaths, but also a path to restoring a country's economy.

After almost half a year of the battle against the coronavirus, a real ray of hope has appeared with the announcement of the first COVID-19 vaccine being registered in Russia. However, the news was not taken as positively as one might have expected in the Western media, which doubted the drug's safety and effectiveness - and even its existence, citing the accounts of various "experts". Many of them pointed to the lack of medical data from human trials available to the public, as well as the small size of the test groups, which amounted to 76 people, not counting the members of the Gamaleya Research Institute who worked on the vaccine and, confident in its effectiveness, voluntarily injected themselves with it.

Russian Fighter Intercepts US Spy Planes Over the Black Sea

A recurring problem in recent weeks, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported once again on Monday that a Su-27 fighter jet has intercepted a pair of US surveillance planes over the Black Sea, when the planes were caught approaching the Russian border.

Russia has been reporting at least one interception weekly, and often more than one, in this same area. Why so many US planes are active in the Black Sea, where the US has no ports, is not entirely certain, though they are generally Navy-run surveillance planes.

The US has not commented on the interceptions either, though they have occasionally intercepted a Russian plane in the Arctic and never fail to bring those incidents up, with Russian planes approaching US airspace.

Germany Pullout: Esper Says Troops are Moving Closer to Russia

President Trump’s plan to withdraw about 12,000 troops from Germany has received enormous backlash from Congress and the media. The common criticism is that the move is a “gift” to Russian President Vladimir Putin. But that argument ignores the fact that about half of the troops that are leaving Germany are moving closer to Russia’s border.

In an interview with Fox News, Secretary of Defense Mark Esper said the troop movement will “deter” Russia. “We are moving many troops further east, closer to Russia’s border, to deter them,” Esper said. The Pentagon chief took the line of argument President Trump is making and said Germany is not paying its “fair share.”

Esper also pointed out that despite the drawdown from 36,000 to 24,000 troops, Germany will still host more US military personnel than any other NATO ally. “It is collective security, it is about our collective responsibility to stand up to the Russians.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Forgive me, Secretary Esper, but from WHAT are the US troops "deterring Russia", and why do we have to "stand up to them"?!?

Considering the massive expense of these deployments, how in the world are they actually benefiting Americans going about their daily business of life?!?

Nord Stream 2: US senators threaten German port with 'crushing' sanctions

Three Republican senators have ordered Murkan Port on the island of Rugen to stop assisting Russian vessels constructing the final sections of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline.

Three US senators are threatening the operators of a small German port with "crushing legal and economic sanctions" for provisioning Russian vessels assisting with constructing the Nord Stream 2 natural gas pipeline.

The US strongly opposes the pipeline, which is owned by Russian gas company Gazprom and will carry natural gas from Russia to Germany.

In their letter,,Republican Senators Ted Cruz, Tom Cotton and Ron Johnson accuse port operator Faehrhafen Sassnitz of "knowingly providing significant goods, services, and support" for the project.

'Completely outrageous'

On Friday, German Minister of State Niels Annen said Germany "firmly rejected" the proposed sanctions, adding the tone and content of the letter were "completely outrageous."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Dear Senators; isn't Germany supposed to be one of our strongest NATO allies?!?

Elliott Abrams Failed Trump's Mission to Overthrow Venezuela—Now He Will Take On Iran

President Donald Trump's pick to compel Iran into changing its strategy has quit amid a failure to foster diplomacy with the longtime foe and may be replaced by the White House's point person for Venezuela, another country whose embattled government has resisted a "maximum pressure" campaign by the United States.

Elliott Abrams, a Washington veteran who rose to prominence in the 1980s with his staunch interventionist, anti-communist stances in Latin America and until now served as Trump's special representative to Venezuela will replace Brian Hook, who was appointed in the wake of the U.S. exit from the Iran nuclear deal in 2018, the State Department confirmed in a statement.

The selection signifies a hardline push for the administration against Iran in the final months of Trump's first term as the revolutionary Shiite Muslim power continues to defy U.S. attempts to force it to change what Washington calls Tehran's "malign behavior" across the Middle East.

Webmaster's Commentary:

My take?!?

Hook knows what is coming, relative to Iran, and doesn't want to be any where near the situation, when the excrement hits the ventilation system.

Abrams, a staunch "Israeli-Firster" , was the prime architect of the the Fatah/Hamas war in 2007. How Abrams Orchestrated the 2007 Hamas/Fateh Palestinian Civil War, and I am almost ready to bet real money, that he will be advocating for direct US military action against Iran.

There is, however, one teeny, tiny factoid which the Swamp Dwellers in DC don't really want to look at; last summer, at a conference which included Iranian delegates, Russia promised to assist Iran, if the US invaded.

Iran ‘Won’t Be Alone’ If U.S. Attacks, Russian Official Says

Perhaps Abrams has a really bad case of SMD (selective memory disorder) on this issue, but I think that it may be time for someone to politely remind him that this was the promise given to Iran by Russia last summer at this convocation.

The guy who made this promise to the Iranian delegation, Zamir Kabulov, is a career diplomat who most probably doesn't even FART without Putin's express permission, so if he made that promise, you can rest assured that it came right from the top.

War with Russia over Iran?!? This would be one of the most ham-fistedly, pig-headedly stupid thing any US administration could do.

As we have seen in Russia's intervention in Syria, they have weapons systems which work as advertised; Lockheed-Martin's F-35 has had its problems "reclassified", but not fixed.

Unfortunately, just because something would be the most ham-fistedly, pig-headedly stupid thing the US government could possibly do, is utterly no guarantee in the 21st century, that they will not do it.

Russia warns it will see any incoming missile as nuclear

by: The Associated Press

Posted: Aug 7, 2020 / 08:28 AM EDT / Updated: Aug 7, 2020 / 08:28 AM EDT

MOSCOW (AP) — Russia will perceive any ballistic missile launched at its territory as a nuclear attack that warrants a nuclear retaliation, the military warned in an article published Friday.

The harsh warning in the official military newspaper Krasnaya Zvezda (Red Star) is directed at the United States, which has worked to develop long-range non-nuclear weapons.

The article follows the publication in June of Russia’s nuclear deterrent policy that envisages the use of atomic weapons in response to what could be a conventional strike targeting the nation’s critical government and military infrastructure.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I would certainly like to hope and pray, that the US government would never order such a strike against Russia; that would be one of the most ham-fistedly, pig-headedly stupid things the US government could possibly do.

Back to the future? Russia plans new manned space shuttle based on old Soviet ‘Buran’ to replace Soyuz craft

Russia’s space agency, Roscosmos, is looking to develop new options for human spaceflight, according to its head Dmitry Rogozin. It wants to replace the current Soyuz MS with a winged space shuttle, similar to the 1980s Buran.

The Buran (‘blizzard’ in Russian) was similar in design to the US space shuttle. It made one orbital flight in 1988, but the program stalled when the Soviet Union collapsed, and funding dried up. The world's largest plane, the giant Antonov An-225 Mriya, was initially designed to transport it.

Russian S-300 Air Defense System Spotted In Libya?

Russia has deployed an advanced S-300 air defense system to Libya to support the forces of Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar against the Turkish military and its proxies, local media reported on August 5.

According to photos surfacing online, the supposed S-300 system is deployed near the town of Ras Lanuf, a key oil export port controlled by the Libyan National Army (LNA). The town is located more than 200km away from the port city of Sirte, which the LNA is defending against Turkish-led forces.

The circulating photos supposedly show a 96L6E Cheese Board radar and a transporter erector launcher (TEL) similar to those used in S-300 and S-400 air-defense systems. This 3D early-warning and acquisition radar has a range of 300 km and can track up to 100 targets simultaneously.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF verified, the use of these S-300s could be a game-changer in Libya for Haftar.

Polling suggests 'regime change' in Russia would lead to far-right or Communist Kremlin, pro-Western liberals have no support

One of the great mysteries in US/UK analysis of Russia is the apparently almost universally accepted belief that the implosion of Putin's system would somehow gift Moscow 'back' to the West, resetting the clock to the 1990s.

The general consensus seems to be that Russians are secretly bursting with desire for 'freedom,' counting down the days until they can re-embrace Uncle Sam. Never mind the fact that even Boris Yeltsin's pro-American administration became increasingly disillusioned with Washington during his second term in the Kremlin. And, most famously, Yevgeny Primakov, then prime minister, turned his plane around in mid-air en route to the US upon learning of NATO's decision to illegally bomb Serbia.

Waffling while Libya burns: Libya’s problem is a security problem that requires a military solution

"Libya’s problem is a security problem that requires a military solution. In the west of the country are the Turkish-sponsored Islamist cutthroats of the Muslim Brotherhood and their crime syndicate allies, now backed by nearly 20,000 Syrian mercenaries and other Turkish-trained jihadists. In the east is the elected parliament and its armed force, the LNA, which succeeded in cleansing that part of the country of the Islamist terrorists. It should be obvious to everyone that there cannot be a political accommodation with the Islamist terrorists — the Muslim Brotherhood and its protégés — not in Libya or any other country. To reach a political accommodation with the Muslim Brotherhood is akin to asking the US White House to share power with the drugs mafia or urge Westminster to enter talks with jihadist Anjem Choudary.

Dumping the dollar: Record gold price justifies Moscow's choice to abandon greenback & bet on precious metal

Washington's weaponization of the dollar in an effort to crush Russia’s economy seems to be backfiring. The policy encouraged Moscow to pivot to gold and this week the cost of an ounce broke the $2,000 barrier for the first time.

Russia's choice to move away from storing Benjamins as a reserve currency and to gradually replace the dollar in trade was accompanied by a relentless gold-buying spree. The moves were a reaction to US sanctions, the primary tool of America's economic war on the world's largest country.

On Thursday, an ounce of the precious metal traded at a maximum of $2,005.4 on the US COMEX Commodity Exchange. The growth in gold’s popularity is directly linked to global economic uncertainty due to the Covid-19 pandemic, with it being seen as protection against inflation as the US federal reserve money-printers work overtime.

American pilots continue their love affair with the Black Sea! Russian jet intercepts US spy planes for 4th TIME in 9 days

With summer heating up, it appears as though the US Air Force finds Russia’s Black Sea particularly inviting. The Russian military has intercepted American jets on a long haul trip for the fourth time in just over one week.

The US Air Force seemingly could not decide who should be next to enjoy the scenic splendor of the Black Sea shoreline - around 8,000km from home - where temperatures have hit the 90s degrees Fahrenheit this week, choosing to send two of its surveillance planes at the same time on Thursday to watch over the area.

Could it be that American 'top guns' are so determined to showcase the delights of the region that they are now insisting on bringing buddies along?

However the sightseeing plans were scuppered when the jets were promptly intercepted by a Russian Su-27 fighter jet, which was scrambled to escort the “aerial targets” approaching the nation’s border.

The Beginning of the U.S.-Iran Hot War?

“Americans should not blame others in vain,” Iranian general Esmail Gha’ani has declared, “this is a fire they have lit and today has engulfed them.” Gha’ani, a veteran military commander who heads the Quds Force, the branch of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) responsible for extraterritorial operations, was speaking about the massive fire that has overtaken a U.S. navy vessel in San Diego.

The provocative remarks come amid signs of a new level of covert warfare being waged against Iran. The country has been beset by its own mysterious infernos and explosions, including at parks, medical clinics, power plants, ports, factories, a missile production compound, and a nuclear facility. The latter has been attributed to Israel by a source speaking to the New York Times. The incidents also come as the Trump administration has greenlighted the CIA to target Iranian infrastructure with cyberweapons.

Webmaster's Commentary:

President Trump has utterly no clue of what he might unleash, if he either he joins with Israel to attack Iran, or attacks Iran directly, for which Netanyahu has been constantly been agitating.

Am I the only human being on this planet without SMD (selective memory disorder) who remembers what Moscow's envoy said at a diplomatic conference to his Iranian counterpart last summer, when the guy made the statement: Iran ‘Won’t Be Alone’ If U.S. Attacks, Russian Official Says The article goes on to state the following:
"“Iran will withstand this type of fight and Iran is not alone,” Zamir Kabulov, the Foreign Ministry’s special envoy for Asian countries including Iran, said at a Russian-Iranian policy forum in Moscow.

When asked if Russia was ready to provide material support to Iran if the U.S. attacks it, Kabulov said that “specific actions are a question for the Russian president.”

“But it’s not just Russia, many other countries sympathize and empathize with Iran,” the Kommersant business daily quoted him as saying. “Tehran won’t be alone if the U.S., God forbid, takes wild and irresponsible actions against it."

War with Russia over Iran?!? You have GOT to be flipping kidding me!!

However, unfortunately, just because something would be the most ham-fistedly, pig-headedly stupid thing the US government and military could possibly do, is utterly no guarantee that they won't do it.

Next Monday is 3 August; we're barely 90 days out until the next election, and between the Covid 19 pandemic and the economic depression with which the country is dealing, President Trump is losing the window on gaining another term in office, and rapidly.

Animals are at their most dangerous when wounded, and between the "Nothing-gate/Russiagate", and his current woes in office, the President is a very definitely geopolitically wounded politician.

He may think that his only card, right now, he's left with, is to play "the war card" against Iran, and that this country, and the world, will line up behind him solidly on this; the man could not possibly be further from the truth.

As long as I have breath, and it does not become illegal, through the suspension of the Constitution and Bill of Rights as a "wartime measure", I will continue to advise President Trump, and this administration, against this recklessly dangerous path of action.

And there is a companion article, from sputniknews.com today, with the headline reading:

This article goes on to state: "At the same time, Washington has repeatedly ignored Tehran's calls for the US to stop sending its carriers to the Gulf and its warnings that such actions only contribute to the escalation of tensions in the region, not to security.

The US Navy has criticised Iran’s military drills that are taking place along the waterways in the Persian Gulf and Strait of Hormuz, adding that it is monitoring them closely. The American military further called the war games an Iranian attempt "to intimidate and coerce", without clarifying whom or for what purpose.

"We are aware of the Iranian exercise involving attacking a mock-up of a vessel similar to a motionless aircraft carrier [...] We are always watchful of this type of irresponsible and reckless behaviour by Iran in the vicinity of busy international waterways", US Fifth Fleet spokeswoman Rebecca Rebarich said in an interview with AFP."

Folks, something wicked this way comes.

As the ongoing increased sanctions regimen on Syria demonstrates, Washington's pursuit of regime change against Assad is not over, despite Damascus clearly having won the war, and with the US having wisely ditched talk of some kind of overt major Iraq-style military intervention (as was the case under Obama in August 2013).

While mainstream media has largely "moved on" from coverage of Syria (so much for feigned humanitarian "concern" for millions of Syrians suffering under severe American-led sanctions!), some analysts like independent journalist Aaron Maté have been detailing damning leaks from the chemical weapons watchdog Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW).

"A series of leaked documents from the OPCW raise the possibility that the Trump administration bombed Syria on false grounds and pressured officials at the world’s top chemical weapons watchdog to cover it up," Maté's latest report in The Nation begins.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Color me unsurprised at these revelations; President Trump has been a profound disappointment to me, both domestically, and internationally.

And yet I look at the possibility of a Biden presidency with just as much sang foid as I do for Trump getting another 4 years in office and have to ask; why are our choices for President of this country so horrendously awful, no matter for whom we vote?!?

And no matter who wins, the war party always wins the in US, period, end of discussion.

Kremlin rubbishes American suggestion that Moscow & Washington form anti-China alliance

President Vladimir Putin's spokesman has rejected an idea put forward by US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo that countries should team up against China. Moscow and Bejing have spent years building closer ties.

Speaking on Friday, Dmitry Peskov stated that Russia does not enter into alliances against other states, and all its political associations “are aimed at developing good neighborliness and mutual benefits,” adding that the two nations have “relations of a special partnership nature.”

On July 23, Pompeo called for a “new alliance of democracies” to oppose China, and said the US needs to work with Russia to achieve its goals on issues like arms control agreements.

Germany Rejects Trump Bid To Let Russia Back Into G7: 'No Chance Due To Ukraine'

For much of the past year Trump has caused angst among allies by maintaining a consistent position that Russia should be invited back into the Group of Seven (G7), making it as it was prior to 2014, the G-8.

Russia had been essentially booted from the summit as relations with the Obama White House broke down over the Ukraine crisis and the Crimea issue. Trump said in August 2019 that Obama had been "outsmarted" by Putin.

But as recently as May when Germany followed by other countries rebuffed Trump's plans to host the G7 at Camp David, Trump blasted the “very outdated group of countries” and expressed that he planned to invite four additional non-member nations, mostly notably Russia.

Cold Wars & Profit

The UPA was, without any shadow of a doubt, responsible for the slaughter of at least 200,000 Polish civilians; they liquidated whole Polish communities in Volhynia and Galicia, including the women and children. The current Polish government, which is as anti-Russian and pro-NATO as they come, nevertheless has declared this a genocide.

It certainly was an extremely brutal ethnic cleansing. There is no doubt either that at times between 1942 and 1944 the UPA collaborated with the Nazis and collaborated in the destruction of Jews and Gypsies. It is simplistic to describe the UPA as fascist or an extension of the Nazi regime; at times they fought the Nazis, though they collaborated more often.

US Accuses Russia of Arming Libyan Rebels

The Pentagon has issued a new round of allegations against Russia claiming they are providing weapons and even warplanes to Gen. Khalifa Hafter’s rebel forces in Libya. They say satellite images show the transfers in the city of Sirte.

A number of nations have been backing Hafter, including the Russians. The Russian arms are alleged to have come through Wagner, a mercenary company on good terms with the Russian state. If true, they would be just one of several nations involved in arming Hafter in violation of UN embargoes.

And yet in arming Libyan factions, the US is hardly blameless. They haven’t consistently sent weapons to one group or another, because the administration has often changed its mind about who it supports, but US arms are all over Libya as well.

Russia just tested anti-satellite space weapon, US claims

The U.S. government says Russia tested a space weapon earlier this month.

Russia says the device, launched July 15, is not a weapon but rather a satellite designed to inspect other satellites. But, the U.S. Space Command (USCC) said in a statement that the Russians launched an anti-satellite weapon. Whatever the device is, Russia launched it from another satellite, known as Cosmos 2543 — a satellite that was launched Nov. 25, 2019. It entered a new orbit, closely approaching (but not destroying) a third Russian satellite.

That behavior, USCC said, is "inconsistent with the system's stated mission."

Turkey Supports Azerbaijan to Cause Instability in Russia's 'Soft Underbelly', the Caucasus

The conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia has become increasingly serious. Both countries claim the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh and between the late 1980s and early 1990s there was a war between them to decide the control of the region. Tens of thousands of people died in the conflict, which ended in 1994 with a ceasefire agreement, without a winner. The agreement places the Nagorno-Karabakh region as a de facto autonomous republic, remaining de jure as part of Azerbaijan. This agreement gave a break in the massacres but did not prevent the continuation of the territorial disputes between both countries, which until today claim the region, and the situation has worsened even more recently.

NATO Black Sea exercise kicks off as Moscow puts its regional forces on alert

The U.S. warship Porter entered the Black Sea on Sunday to take part in an annual NATO exercise, days after Russia placed its Black Sea forces on alert.

Sea Breeze 2020 is cohosted by the United States and Ukraine and involves more than 2,000 personnel from Bulgaria, Georgia, Norway, Romania, Spain and Turkey.

It will run through July 26 and focus on warfare areas such as air defense, anti-sub warfare, damage control and search and rescue, according to a Navy release.

A Navy P-8A Poseidon sub hunter aircraft is also participating.

The exercise will take place exclusively at sea to help mitigate COVID-19, according to the release.

Webmaster's Commentary:

"...to help mitigate COVID-19", MY ASTROLABE!!

What damned kind of fool does the US government and military take Putin to be, by releasing this kind of malarkey?!?

One can describe Russia's Putin in many ways; "fool" is absolutely, irrevocably, and completely NOT a part of that description.

The JCPOA at 5: How the U.S. squandered an unprecedented diplomatic opening with Iran

The deal was never intended as a grand bargain. But by stopping the nuclear capability clock for a decade and a half, with intrusive inspections, it offered an off ramp, an ecosystem conducive to diplomacy and a stepping stone to a mutually brighter future.

President Trump’s impatience has proven costly. Iran has reduced its compliance with the nuclear deal and floats consideration of abandoning it altogether and the NPT as well.

If change is to take place, as much effort, persistence, financial resources, and patience should be devoted to diplomatic solutions as has been devoted to sanctions and pressure.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The reason President Trump did this, is that he can only see Iran, and its political and economic struggles, through the jaundiced perspective of Israel's Prime Minister Netanyahu, who continually describes Iran as an "existential threat" to Israel, when the "threat" is primarily economic in nature, rather than existential.

Recently, Iran's Chief Rabbi, Yehuda Gerami, made the following statement:
"There is a big difference between Zionism and Judaism," says Rabbi who also hails former Quds Force commander Qassem Soleimani as a "national hero."

Iran's chief rabbi: The Israeli government doesn't care about Judaism

The article goes on to state: "The chief rabbi of Iran's Jewish community, Yehuda Gerami, lambasted the Israeli government on Sunday, denied any connection between Judaism and Zionism and said there was "total freedom of religion" in Iran.

In a Hebrew-language interview with Al-Monitor, published Sunday and broadcast on Israel's Channel 12, Gerami denied that the conflict between Iran and Israel is a religious one and took aim at the Israeli government.

People tend to get confused, but there is a big difference between Zionism and Judaism. Judaism is a religion that is 3,300 years old, while Zionism is a national and political movement that is just 100 years old. As a country, the State of Israel has nothing to do with religion in general and Judaism in particular," he said.

"The Israeli government doesn't care about Judaism at all. Everything that they supposedly give to the Orthodox is because of some political deal or other, and not because of their religious approach," said Gerami."

What Netanyahu is trying to conjure, is for the US to confront Iran militarily, so that it's "the others of the earth" who get their hands dirty with yet another immoral, illegal war, with no basis in realty; in the 20th and 21st century, the US government has excelled in such wars..

But he is going to have to do this well before the elections, because, unfortunately, President Trump is just unhinged enough, and completely under Netanyahu's Svengali-like influence, to think he can justify such a war with the American people; he cannot, and I would like to hope that there is at least one "adult in the room" who can dissuade him from such an insane act, because such a war... will most probably mean a war with Russia as well.

Iran ‘Won’t Be Alone’ If U.S. Attacks, Russian Official Says

Time is very much running out for Netanyahu to get this to happen, as we are are at the end of July, and the election happens 3 November; unfortunately, however, with Netanyahu a politically wounded animal, facing massive corruption charges in Israel, one cannot tell of what he might be truly capable, to divert attention from this trial, and plunge the world, if he thinks this is "the only way out" of his trial woes.

Watch military pilots test MOST ADVANCED version of Russian 'flying tank' Su-25, filmed in detail from cockpit

Russia is upgrading its fleet of Sukhoi Su-25 attack planes to further boost their survivability. The latest variant of the armored aircraft is shown in action in a video released by the Russian military.

The Su-25 is among the most-used Russian aircraft, having left a mark in over a dozen armed conflicts since the Soviet intervention in Afghanistan. Dubbed the "flying tank" due to its heavy armor plating and overall resilience, its primary task is to provide close air support for ground forces, taking out high-value enemy targets on the battlefield.

A video published on Sunday by TV Zvezda, the official channel of the Russian military, shows the test flights of a pair of Su-25SM3s. Shot by multiple cameras from inside and outside cockpit, the footage shows the planes firing weapons and making combat maneuvers.

China derides US move to place Chinese flags at empty seats in nuclear talks with Russia

China says a move by the United States to place Chinese flags at a table of nuclear arms control negotiations with Russia was an act of “performance art.”

China had said it would not be participating in the talks because the US, under President Donald Trump, had unilaterally withdrawn from international treaty after international treaty.

The negotiations in question were on the replacement of New START, a nuclear arms treaty between the US and Russia that would expire next February and that has nothing to do with China. Washington had invited Beijing nevertheless and had been planning to portray the Chinese government’s refusal to participate as a sign of Beijing’s reluctance to take part in any arms control treaty.

RussiaGate 3.0 & Afghan Peace Talks: Who Benefits From Pushing "Russia Bounty" Narrative?

The "Afghanistan bounties" narrative propelled by the US mainstream media has all the earmarks of a hoax, say international observers, explaining who actually stands to benefit from unverified reports allegedly leaked by an anonymous intelligence official.

Citing unnamed sources The New York Times last Friday broke the story that Russia was allegedly offering the Taliban* bounties to kill US soldiers in Afghanistan, highlighting President Donald Trump's supposed inaction in the matter. The Taliban, Moscow and the Pentagon all swiftly denied the allegations.

Remember When America Killed Moscow’s Soldiers

Policymakers who spent years treating Russia as an enemy are now enraged over unverified claims that Moscow paid the Afghan Taliban to kill American military personnel. That would be outrageous, of course. Perhaps US policymakers now know how Soviet officials felt after Washington provided Stinger missiles and other weapons to the Afghan Mujahedeen to kill U.S.S.R. military personnel.

Alas, that is what enemy governments do and have done since nation states emerged. Anger is easy. Finding solutions is more difficult, especially since the US has done much to create the increasingly hostile relationship with Moscow.

US Moves To Seize Iran Petroleum On New Tanker Group Bound For Venezuela

Via AlMasdarNews.com,

US prosecutors will seek to put an end to Iran’s oil deliveries to Venezuela, as they have filed a new suit to seize the contents on these tankers.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the U.S. prosecutors are targeting the oil from four Iranian tankers, along with the payments between Tehran and Caracas.

Iranian oil tankers off the port of Bandar Abbas, via AFP.

Tehran will help fund the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), who Washington has designated as a terrorist organization.

“[These payments] support the IRGC’s full range of nefarious activities, including the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and their means of delivery, support for terrorism, and a variety of human rights abuses, at home and abroad”, U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Zia Faruqui claims in the filing.

Webmaster's Commentary:

President Trump seems to believe, magically, that he can flout international law because he wants a specific outcome to happen here, through a muscular "mis-juxtapositioning" of American law, and this is not the first time Faruqui has tried to pull this this, as you will see about with a similar attempt against Syria:

Unsealed Warrant and Forfeiture Complaint Seek Seizure of Oil Tanker “Grace 1” for Unlawful Use of U.S. Financial System to Support and Finance Sale of Oil Products to Syria

This happened in August of last year.

I have to wonder just how far Putin is going to let this madness play out, until he feels forced to act, and what he will do when he feels he has no other course to play, than to protect Iranian and Venezuelan commerce.

Caitlin Johnstone: Why the US empire works so hard to control the international narrative about Russia

On a December 2010 episode of Fox News’ Freedom Watch, John Bolton and the show’s host Andrew Napolitano were debating about recent WikiLeaks publications, and naturally the subject of government secrecy came up.

“Now I want to make the case for secrecy in government when it comes to the conduct of national security affairs, and possibly for deception where that’s appropriate,” Bolton said. “You know Winston Churchill said during World War II that in wartime truth is so important it should be surrounded by a bodyguard of lies.”

“Do you really believe that?” asked an incredulous Napolitano.

“Absolutely,” Bolton replied.

“You would lie in order to preserve the truth?” asked Napolitano.

“If I had to say something I knew was false to protect American national security, I would do it,” Bolton answered.

No End to Illegal US Sanctions War on Iran

Last week, militantly hostile to Iran Pompeo said the following:

The Trump regime is “clear about our expectations (and) goals (sic).”

“We (demand that) the Islamic Republic of Iran behave like a normal nation (sic).”

“We’re happy to engage in conversations with them when the time is right (sic)…”

“(C)onditions that suggest somehow we give a bunch of money to the Iranians so they can foment terror around the world is simply ludicrous (sic).”

“It’s just not how (the Trump regime) behaves (sic).”

Fact: Intentions of both right wings of the US one-party state are crystal clear — seeking dominance over planet earth, its resources and populations by whatever it takes to achieve its objectives, war by hot and other means its favored strategies.

Fact: Even-handed US engagement with other nations was long ago abandoned. Demanding subservience to its interests replaced it.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Apparently, to this administration, hard-won, moral negotiations are a completely unknown process with which their members don't want to wrap their brains around, and this administration's actions may put us head-to-head with Russia and China if we invade Iran.

Mr. President; a war against Iran is a really horrific idea; should Russia and China get involved, we may be looking at putting this world into a state which is unrecoverable, due to potential nuclear exchanges.

MASSIVE explosions after ‘Israeli jets’ strike army bases in central Syria

Several military bases in central and southern Syria have been targeted by air attacks that Damascus has blamed on Israel, Syrian state media have reported. Videos on social media show massive explosions illuminating the night.
Israel targeted several locations in Salamiyah and Saburah just before 1 am on Wednesday, the Syrian army said, adding that its air defenses shot down “a large number” of hostile missiles but that some struck their targets and inflicted “limited material damage.”

Bolton: Trump Gave Bibi Green Light For Preemptive Israeli Strike On Iran Nuclear Sites

Among the new revelations and interesting tidbits found in John Bolton's now leaked pre-published edition of “The Room Where It Happened: A White House Memoir,” is that President Trump was said to be prepared to endorse an Israeli preemptive strike on Iran's nuclear sites.

In a section which describes the "elusive search" for an Arab-Israeli peace deal, Bolton writes that Trump told him at a moment of increased Israeli concerns over Iran's nuclear development:

"You tell Bibi that if he uses force, I will back him. I told him that, but you tell him again."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Apparently, Bolton and Trump both suffer from a collective, and severe, case of SMD (Selective Memory Disorder)

Apparently, both gentlemen have "conveniently forgotten" a Diplomatic conclave, held last summer in Russia, where a Russian diplomat assured his Iranian counterpart of the following: Iran ‘Won’t Be Alone’ If U.S. Attacks, Russian Official Says

The article goes on to state: "“Iran will withstand this type of fight and Iran is not alone,” Zamir Kabulov, the Foreign Ministry’s special envoy for Asian countries including Iran, said at a Russian-Iranian policy forum in Moscow.

“Tehran won’t be alone if the U.S., God forbid, takes wild and irresponsible actions against it.”

Career diplomats like Kabulov don't even "break wind" without Putin's express blessing, so if he made that statement in this meeting, you can bet your sweet bippy that Putin is putting his very considerable geopolitical weight behind Iran NOT getting invaded or bombed by the US.

A proxy war for Israel against Iran, with Russia coming in on Iran's side?!?

Is THIS how completely, insanely stupid this administration has become?!?

India Seeks Rapid Purchase Of 33 Russian Fighter Jets In Response To Chinese Border Fight

India is reportedly seeking to beef up military purchases from Russia following last week's major border incident with China that resulted in 20 Indian Army troops killed, and an undisclosed number of Chinese PLA casualties in the disputed Galwan Valley area of East Ladakh.

Indian government sources were cited in New Delhi-based ANI News Agency as saying "the Indian Air Force (IAF) has pushed a proposal to the government for acquiring 33 new fighter aircraft, including 21 MiG-29s and 12 Su-30MKIs from Russia."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Two nuclear-armed neighbors, at each others' throats, does not augur well for peace, either in the region, or in the world; I am hoping - and praying - that SOMEONE, hopefully, an "adult in the room" with some geopolitical integrity left (that sure as HELL leaves out President Trump), is working the phones intensely between New Dehli and Beijing, to ratchet the tensions down here, and encouraging the leadership of both countries to enact some confidence-building measures here.

DOJ Lawsuit Over Bolton’s Book is 'Regrettable Pretext to Cover Up Effort to Suppress His Speech'

In his book due to be released on 23 June, John Bolton, in particular, accuses US President Donald Trump of misusing his powers and claims that POTUS was manipulated and easily influenced by the foreign leaders of China, Russia, Turkey, and North Korea.

BELARUS - A U.S. SPONSORED COLOR REVOLUTION IS UNDERWAY

SOURCE: MOON OF ALABAMA
U.S engineered attempts to overthrow a foreign government by stirring civil arrests are usually named after a color or, at times, a flower. Thus we had an "rose revolution" in Georgia, a "green movement" in Iran and an "orange revolution" in the Ukraine.

‘Proud to be one of the ‘bad actors’ on RT,’ says Rose McGowan after DHS report smearing channel for coverage of BLM protests

American actress Rose McGowan said she is “proud” to be one of the so-called “bad actors” appearing on RT after the US Department of Homeland Security criticized the channel for covering protests over George Floyd's death.
In a bulletin reported this week, the DHS accused Russia, China and Iran of using state-owned media to “amplify criticism” of the US in relation to Floyd's death in May. The unarmed black man died at the hands of a police officer who kneeled on his neck for nine minutes ignoring his pleas for life.

Webmaster's Commentary:

But what if some of this coverage is actually reasonable, and just?!?

It would appear to me that DHS has some fundamentally more important things to do in this country..... perhaps like, peacefully, taking back the autonomous zone in Seattle, known now by the acronym CHAZ, if that is possible?!?

How long is it's mayor willing to allow what is happening to continue, and at what point will the devolution here be made to stop?!?

That question right now.... is anyone's guess.

UPDATE: this is now called "Capitol Hill Occupied Protests, or CHOP for short. (Sigh; either way, these protestors are looking at a world of hurt, if they believe this is going to be allowed to become a permanent, "no-go" encampment zone.)

NATO’s colonization of Ukraine under guise of partnership

NATO has extended yet another in a long line of “incentives” designed to tease Ukraine with the prospects of joining the transatlantic alliance, while stopping short of actual membership.
The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) has designated Ukraine as an “Enhanced Opportunity Partner,” making it one of six nations (the others being Georgia, Sweden, Finland, Australia and Jordan) rewarded for their significant contributions to NATO operations and alliance objectives by having the opportunity for increased dialogue and cooperation with the alliance.

A main objective of this enhanced interaction is for NATO and Ukraine to develop operational capabilities and interoperability through military exercises which will enable Ukrainian military personnel to gain practical hands-on experience in operating with NATO partners.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Against whom, please, is NATO (and by extension, Ukraine) SUPPOSED TO BE FIGHTING, folks?!?

Please ask yourself that one, if you want a key to why NATO has provided Ukraine with this special "Enhanced Opportunity" status.

US WILL SEND UKRAINE ANOTHER $250M IN WEAPONS, GEAR AND OTHER AID

SOURCE: DEFENSE ONE
The Pentagon will send weapons and other military aid worth $250 million to Ukraine as part of the four-year-old Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative, or USAI, defense officials announced Thursday.

The aid includes counter-artillery radars, air surveillance systems, other tactical equipment, military medical treatment, cyber defenses, “strategic communications,” according to a Thursday release by the Pentagon. Intended to help Ukraine fight the Russia-backed forces that have occupied part of the country’s eastern region since 2014, the aid aims to “enhance Ukraine’s defensive lethal capabilities and situational awareness in the maritime domain” and “counter Russian cyber offensive operations and misinformation.”

Syrian Kids Hurl Stones at US Military Convoy Trying to Enter Damascus-Held Area - Videos, Photos

US forces remain in Syria despite having no legal basis such an invitation from the government or UN Security Council mandate to carry out operations there. Washington continues to ignore demands by Damascus and members of the international community to withdraw its troops illegally stationed there.

Four armoured US military vehicles were stopped by Syrian Army forces while attempting to cross a checkpoint on the M4 highway in the province of Al-Hasakah near the suburbs of Tall Tamer. The American military convoy was travelling towards the village of Derdara as it tried to cross a sliver of territory in the country's northeast controlled by the Syrian Army, and was forced to turn back.

Russian General Warns US, NATO Of ‘Provocative’ Drills Near Border

Russian General Sergei Rudskoi has issued a formal letter to NATO on Monday criticizing them for holding a growing number of military exercises immediately along the Russian borders, and in many cases, directly aimed at Russia.

Russia and NATO tend toward having military exercises on their respective frontiers, which the other side almost always labels as provocative, even though both sides do it. There are clearly differences between defensive training and practicing aggressive operations.

In this case, NATO is preparing for the later. Rudskoi singled out a recent Barents Sea drill in which they were simulating attacks on Russian territory and the seizure of Russian ICBMs. This was the first such NATO drill since the Cold War.

US and British flags in the Barents Sea was seen as particularly jarring for Russia, but officials say they intend it to be the “new normal” With NATO interested in challenging Russia’s claims in the north, this is likely to be a growing concern.

Webmaster's Commentary:

A NATO-generated war against Russia?!?

Let's get serious here.

Look at the historic events of this last weekend, when Spacex's "Dragon" docked with the ISS, and the tremendous amount of technology, and cooperation, which it took to achieve this.

Russian, NASA, and US's Spacex private teams worked tirelessly to achieve this brilliant outcome.

When I see this, and think about what we could accomplish, as a species, through peaceful collaboration, and the only thing NATO can seem to conjure, are military exercises engineered to challenge Russia, I become very doubtful about the future of humankind.

Trump the “Peace Candidate”: Contemplating War During Pandemic against Two Global Competitors. Nuclear Weapons “Tests” against China and Russia

The Pentagon and national security agencies directed by the White House have also been discussing the viability of engaging in war with those same two global competitors Russia and China, either individually or even simultaneously. Yes, it is true that many countries wargame certain scenarios that are unlikely ever to occur, but there is nevertheless a certain consistency in the bellicosity that comes like an endless stream out of the Trump White House.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I marginally supported President Trump over Hillary Clinton in 2016, because he did talk about ending the no-win wars in which the US government had enmeshed its military for years on end, with no resolution in sight.

And I am very supportive of his work to get US troops out of Afghanistan.

But that being said, I loathe it, that he believes that a "male member measuring contest" between himself, President Xi of China, and President Putin of Russia, through an atomic test, is an answer to US security right now, because it is not.

Worse still, such an act by the US may well be quite liable to start a nuclear arms race which could make the potential use of, let's say, a "tactical nuclear weapon" more "acceptible" to the American public, because they don't understand the utter devastation the use of such a weapon can wreak.

And that damage may be utterly unrecoverable.

Turkey Committed ‘In Principle’ to Activating Russian-Made S-400 Missiles, Erdogan's Spokesman Says

Washington has consistently objected to NATO-member Turkey acquiring the Russian-made S-400 missile systems, claiming they were incompatible with security standards of the alliance and might compromise the operations of the new US fifth-generation F-35 fighter jets.

Turkey is committed “in principle” to its earlier announced plans to activate the Russian-made S-400 missile defence systems acquired last year, despite procrastination due to a spate of issues, Turkish Presidential spokesman Ibrahim Kalin was quoted as saying by France 24 on Monday.

Speaking in an interview, the spokesperson referred to the COVID-19 pandemic as having delayed the matter of activation, slated originally for April, and reiterated the country’s intention to proceed with the move.

Webmaster's Commentary:

What is President Trump going to do now?!? Sanction Turkey on its weapons choices, or have Turkey formally expelled from NATO?!?

This is a hard one; geographically, Turkey is critical to NATO.

Unfortunately, however, its President Edrogan, with various and sundry military misadventures, is indicating that he may well have decided to make Turkey the 21st century's First Caliphate; this is a dangerous direction for the country to be taking at this point in history.

SECURITYNEWSUkraine’s Zelenskyy Pivots Back to Peace Talks With Russia’s Putin

KYIV, Ukraine—As Ukraine’s coronavirus lockdown incrementally winds down, Kyiv is pivoting its focus back to ending the war in the eastern Donbas region, where Ukrainian troops have held a Russian invasion force at bay since spring 2014.

At a press conference last week to mark his first year in office, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made it clear that, with the pandemic under control inside Ukraine, he is open to holding direct peace talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“There are some things you can understand only when you are one on one,” Zelensky said. “There are some answers to what you can do and want, and it is better to hear them when you are one on one, to draw crystal clear conclusions and proceed with another plan—plan B.”

With a population 3.4 times that of Ukraine’s, Russia has more than 16 times the number of Ukraine’s total 20,148 reported COVID-19 cases.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Fingers crossed on this; Zelensky may turn out to be a very good choice for President for the Ukrainian people.

Almost quarter of Russians believe coronavirus is fictional, according to new study

More than 23% of Russians think the coronavirus threat is not real and the epidemic is made up, according to a survey by Moscow’s Higher School of Economics, published on Thursday.

Conducted in May, the survey of 30,000 Russians found that 23.2% believe Covid-19 is a work of fiction, while 9.6% of respondents think the danger is being exaggerated. This suggests that when combined, almost a third (32.8%) of respondents do not fully believe in the coronavirus threat, the RBK newspaper reported.

Going it alone: Russia plans to build its own space station when the ISS reaches the end of its life in a bid to reach the Moon and Mars

The ISS has been under constant occupation by astronauts since November 2000 but due to structural fatigue needs to be decommissioned by 2030.

After this Roscosmos plans to take the modules it built for the ISS and use them as the base parts of its new orbiting space station - which will take a decade to build.

The Russian agency says the aim would be to use the new space station as a place to assemble and refuel spacecraft before launching them further into the solar system.

NATO rejects Russia’s offer to MUTUALLY freeze military drills amid Covid-19 pandemic

NATO has ignored Moscow’s proposal to jointly put military exercises on hold while the world is dealing with the deadly Covid-19 pandemic. Russia said it can’t afford “unilateral concessions” to the Western bloc.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had addressed NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg, proposing to mutually halt military drills as a “constructive and positive step” towards restraint amid the ongoing novel coronavirus outbreak, Russian business newspaper Kommersant reported. NATO promptly rejected this idea.

The US-led military bloc’s spokesperson, Oana Lungescu, told the paper that NATO’s exercises are purely defensive and proportionate, while the enhanced posturing near Russia’s western borders is a response to Moscow ramping up its military potential in the Baltic Sea region.

The Latest: BATE Borisov Wins Belarusian Cup

BATE Borisov has won the Belarusian Cup with thousands of fans watching in a rare case of a soccer trophy being decided during the coronavirus pandemic.

The Belarus soccer federation said that 5,761 tickets were sold for the game.

That was only a fraction of the stadium’s capacity so that fans would be spaced around the arena. However, many supporters ignored the seating arrangements to sit in groups and most did not wear masks.

BATE beat Dynamo Brest 1-0 with a goal from defender Zakhar Volkov from a corner right at the end of extra time.

Russia’s newest radar can track 1,000+ fast-moving & HYPERSONIC weapons, and is now available to foreign buyers

Russia once claimed gold in the race for hypersonic dominance after rolling out a range of ultra-fast projectiles. Now it’s offering unique radar protecting against weapons of the same kind – even if they come in huge numbers.
Having unbeatable offensive weapons – for example hypersonic missiles – could be a game-changer in the age of modern, fast-paced warfare. But it’s equally crucial to have something that shields you from those designed or deployed by an adversary.

And Russia’s newest radar station is able to fit the bill, Rosoboronexport, the government agency in charge of arms trade, said this Wednesday. The radar, which is the latest addition to the Protivnik (Adversary) family, is likely to turn a few heads abroad due to its capability to “efficiently detect a wide range of existing and future flying objects, including hypersonic targets.”

Ukraine Judge Orders Joe Biden Listed As Alleged Perpetrator Of Crime In Prosecutor's Firing

Authored by John Solomon via JustTheNews.com,

The infamous story of Joe Biden’s effort to force the firing of Ukraine’s chief prosecutor in 2016 has taken a new legal twist in Kiev, just as the former vice president is sewing up the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination in America.

In Kiev late last month, District Court Judge S. V. Vovk ordered the country’s law enforcement services to formally list the fired prosecutor, Victor Shokin, as the victim of an alleged crime by the former U.S. vice president, according to an official English translation of the ruling obtained by Just the News.

The court had previously ordered the Prosecutor General’s Office and the State Bureau of Investigations in February to investigate Shokin’s claim that he was fired in spring 2016 under pressure from Biden because he was investigating Burisma Holdings, the natural gas company where Biden’s son Hunter worked.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Ukrainegate .... is just starting to get real; and it could not possibily come at a worse time for "Creepy Uncle Joe!!"

This is going to really devastate those "true believers" who actually thought they could hold their collective noses, and let Biden have a pass on the sexual allegations; but these allegations are way, way more than a "he said, she said" kind of allegation.

Biden is now a thoroughly, geopolitically wounded animal; it will be interesting to see what he does next, and how he intends to confront these charges.

He who pays the piper? Leaked tapes of Poroshenko-Biden calls fuel suspicions post-Maidan Ukraine is effectively US client state

On top of firing a prosecutor on orders from US Vice President Joe Biden, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko also robbed his own people by raising tariffs to please his US overlords, according to audio of their alleged calls.

On Tuesday, Ukrainian parliamentarian Andrii Derkach published audio recordings of what sounds like Poroshenko’s conversations with various Obama administration officials in 2015 and 2016. Derkach said he got the audio from investigative journalists, who told him that Poroshenko personally recorded the calls. They have not been independently verified.

If true, however, they show the president in Kiev literally taking orders from Washington, even as the US insisted Ukraine was a sovereign and independent nation free to decide its own destiny.

Phone Calls Between Biden And Ukraine's Poroshenko Leaked; Details $1 Billion "Quid Pro Quo" To Fire Burisma Prosecutor

Leaked phone calls between Joe Biden and former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko explicitly detail the quid-pro-quo arrangement to fire former Ukrainian Prosecutor General Victor Shokin - who Poroshenko admits did nothing wrong - in exchange for $1 billion in US loan guarantees (which Biden openly bragged about in January, 2018).

US donates war equipment to Kiev

Apparently, Washington is helping to increase the violence in the Donbass. In the midst of a pandemic and the civil war at a softer stage, Kiev is promoting a gradual increase in the actions of pro-Maidan paramilitary groups in the region and receiving international support for this.

The United States has delivered more than $ 25 million worth of night vision devices, thermal cameras, portable communicators and medical equipment to Ukraine for use in the combat zone in Donbas, the US Embassy in Kiev reported.
