Orwellian brutes now govern Europe...

Former-banker-turned-tiny-French-President Emmanuel Macron blasted what he called "American free speech" while speaking to reporters last week. Defending the European Union's robust censorship policies, le petit fromage insisted that Europe's speech-policing Digital Services Act should censor information that governments consider false "much more extensively, much faster, and much more forcefully."

Macron then did his Orwellian best to condemn free speech as oppression and praise censorship as liberation: "So-called American 'free speech' - at least as it exists today and has been promoted by some people - is the opposite of free speech." The terribly disliked French leader continued, "My freedom cannot mean that I am free to...insult you or vandalize the public square that belongs to everyone. Yet that is some people's idea of 'free speech.'"

Then the little mouse of a man roared, "Until we hold those who disseminate content on social media accountable, we will not be able to regulate it." Furthermore, if "someone writes something" that is "false," then that person should be "held accountable." Tough talk from an insecure man afraid of words.

What is going on in Europe? Why is the whole continent so scared of public debate and dissent? If the political Establishment is unable to defend its ideas and policies without censoring the opposition, then its ideas and policies are absolute rubbish! The people who have willed their way to power across Europe apparently believe that they cannot win an argument unless they are the only ones permitted to speak!

That's a bit like a puny pugilist demanding that referees tie another boxer's hands behind his back before declaring himself world heavyweight champion!

Russia has just wrapped up hosting mass military drills involving troops and defense technology from eight countries which state media hailed as applying lessons learned from the Ukraine war.

The Tsentr-2026, or Centre-2026, drills ran throughout all last week into Saturday, located in the central western Chelyabinsk region, which is situated in the southern Ural Mountains - with on Friday President Putin being on hand to observe the exercise.

Importantly, China's military took part, in addition to Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Pakistan and Tajikistan.

The Russian Ministry of Defense said of what were primarily strategic command-and-staff exercises that they "applied" combat lessons from the Ukraine war to "repel external aggression in the Central Asian direction."

Over 47,000 troops from across the different countries' militaries took part at the Chebarkul training ground, in drills that further featured rehearsal for long-distance deployment and joint operational planning as well as launching operations against an entrenched enemy.

China Central Television (CCTV) indicated that the PLA troops came from the Central Theater Command, including members of the 82nd Group Army and a combined-arms brigade.

Chinese regional sources further noted the PLA rolled out unmanned systems and practiced launching drone swarms:

Claire's Observations:  The successful use of drone swarms has not only been noted tactically in Ukraine;  it has also been noted in the attacks by Iranian drones against US and Israeli targets in the USraeli war against Iran as well.

France is tearing itself apart as far-left riots, a dire fiscal situation and years of unfettered mass migration collide, while President Emmanuel Macron loses his grip and his approval rating craters, raising the prospect of a victory for right-wing candidate Marine Le Pen in next year's presidential election.

Far-left riots gained momentum in the new week, with Bloomberg reporting Tuesday that 256,000 people "demonstrated" nationwide, including 56,000 in Paris. Nearly 500 people were arrested, taking the total since September 28 to more than 6,500.

Police used tear gas in some locations, and 43 officers were injured earlier today as social unrest intensified:

The official corporate media narrative is that the rioters, many of them kids, are demanding smaller classes, building renovations, and changes to university admissions. Yet that doesn't pass the sniff test when countless videos on social media show rioters burning down schools. 

Claire's Observations:  It's not just the schools these kids want to destroy; it is the entire fabric of French society they want to tear down; replace with sharia culture and law; and recreate the entirety of the failed political culture they fled, which is their goal.

And if France isn't careful and mindful about how they handle this, the national motto of "Liberty, Fraternity, Equality" is about to be supplanted by "One theocracy intolerant of all other faiths; laws that include cutting off limbs for various offenses; and keeping women silent and uneducated."

"This could be the first election in Sweden where the Muslim immigration that we have had is decisive in a parliamentary election," predicted the leader of the Sweden Democrats, Jimmie Åkesson, days before Sweden's election on September 13.

He was right. Sweden's center-right Sweden Democrats government indeed lost the elections by a razor-thin margin - reportedly just 50,000 votes - corresponding to just three seats in parliament.

The next government will almost certainly be a socialist one.

"Voters who, or whose parents, grew up outside Europe overwhelmingly favoured the Left," Brussels Signal wrote in its analysis of an exit poll by SVT, Sweden's national public broadcaster:

"The Social Democrats received 38 per cent of their votes, the Left Party 21 per cent, the Greens 7 per cent and the Centre Party 4 per cent. Together, these parties accounted for 70 per cent, against 27 per cent for the four parties of the outgoing right-wing bloc."

The tiny socialist majority was won through heavy voter mobilization within immigrant communities, which tipped the balance. Turnout rose around 3 points to 67.5% in the almost exclusively urban districts, where mainly Muslim immigrants live.

August Hanning, former head of the German BND foreign intelligence agency, which is Germany's equivalent of the CIA, has been arrested on espionage charges in a shocking and unprecedented situation in which a country's top intelligence officer and head of a national spy agency was caught spying for another state.

The 80-year-old faces formal charges including "treasonous espionage, spying out state secrets, attempted treason, and espionage" - according to German media. While an official statement from the prosecutor's office has not yet identified the foreign service he's suspected of working for, Israel has been widely named, also given this past well-documented associations and links.

Curiously, Hanning' s arrest at his home in Nordwalde in western Germany comes a full two decades after he left the top intelligence post. He served as BND chief from December 1998 to November 2005 before moving to the Federal Interior Ministry.

In short, it appeared he not only illegally held on to thousands of classified documents, but used them over the years to peddle influence - including preparing a presentation for a foreign intelligence service based on the internal government docs. What's more is he was covertly obtaining new documents even many years out of office.

Israeli media itself is highlighting that the way Hanning was caught actually involves shady Israeli operatives:

The affair rocking Germany involves thousands of classified documents, suspected payments, contacts with foreign intelligence officials and a surprising connection to Israel: The investigation that led to its exposure actually began with the case involving the abduction of millionaire heiress Christina Block’s children, in which Israelis were also implicated. International reports at the time: "According to prosecutors, August Hanning, who once headed Germany’s domestic intelligence service, allegedly approached Peri [ex-Shin Bet head], now owner of the Israeli consulting firm CGI Group, to organize a team of Israeli operatives for the abduction. The team allegedly assaulted Hänsel, kidnapped the children, smuggled them into Germany, and handed them over to Block. A Danish court later ordered her to return the children to their father."

An American spy satellite that was recently declassified to the public has mysteriously exploded, sparking concern that more satellites that provide phone and internet service may soon suffer the same fate.

The device, called USA 32, broke apart while in low Earth orbit on September 13, creating a large debris cloud just over 480 miles above the planet, the US Space Force said.

The vast majority of data centers in Europe keep information about their environmental impact secret, according to a study by Lighthouse Report in collaboration with Trouw and other European media. In the Netherlands, less than a quarter of larger data centers publish data about their electricity and drinking water usage.

The researchers spent a year trying to obtain data on data centers’ environmental impact in Europe, invoking freedom of information laws in various European countries. Their attempts have yielded no results.

The European Energy Efficiency Directive (EED) obliges data centers with an installed capacity of at least 500 kilowatts (kW) to report data including their energy and water consumption. In practice, few do so, despite the directive being in effect for three years.

An unauthorized party abused a private Danish company's legitimate access to the country's Central Population Register (CPR), exposing names, addresses, identification numbers, and other personal information about approximately 8.8 million people.

...but ID card data would be 100% safe. Really.

A new analysis of the federal National Health Interview Survey finds children who received a COVID-19 shot had higher odds of autism, ADHD, anxiety, asthma and special-education use than children who did not.

The authors, including epidemiologist Nicolas Hulscher and cardiologist Peter McCullough, say the pattern survived a long list of statistical controls and rose with dose count.

Their conclusion is blunt: COVID-19 vaccination of children should cease immediately.

The paper, posted October 5 on the Zenodo repository, pools the 2022-2024 Sample Child files. It covers 21,990 children aged 0-17 with a recorded COVID vaccination status, and 19,882 aged 2-17 for the autism, ADHD and learning-disability items.

"Unvaccinated" in this comparison means no COVID-19 vaccine. It does not mean the child skipped the routine schedule.

Set against children who never received a COVID shot, COVID-vaccinated children had:

• 32 percent higher odds of current autism
• 26 percent higher odds of a lifetime autism diagnosis
• 33 percent higher odds of ADHD
• 23 percent higher odds of any neurodevelopmental diagnosis
• 19 percent higher odds of special-education use
• 24 percent higher odds of asthma
• 27 percent higher odds of daily or weekly anxiety
• 57 percent higher odds of mental-health medication
• 60 percent higher odds of mental-health therapy

The steepest autism estimate landed where parents were told the product was a routine precaution. Among children aged 5 to 7, three or more COVID shots were linked to 154 percent higher odds of current autism. Ages 2 to 7 with three or more doses sat at 137 percent higher odds.

The odds also climbed with the number of shots. Against children who received none, current-autism odds were 3 percent higher after one dose, 25 percent higher after two, and 40 percent higher after three or more.

Hulscher told The Gateway Pundit the association "persisted across numerous adjustment strategies, strengthened with increasing dose count, and reached its largest estimate in some of the youngest multiply vaccinated children."

For most of 2026, the bear case on the US power producers could be summed up in one sentence: nobody is signing data center PPAs in PJM. Last week Amazon did. This morning Google did, too, and this one is five times bigger.

Google parent Alphabet has contracted for 3,590 megawatts of power from Constellation Energy (CEG) inside PJM, the largest US grid, the companies said on Tuesday, according to Reuters, confirming an overnight report from Bloomberg. Roughly a quarter of it, 890 MW, is new nuclear capacity squeezed out of 11 existing reactors under a 20-year PPA backed by more than $4.3 billion of Constellation investment, expected to start delivering in 2028. The rest is a long-term supply agreement for another 2,700 MW. And in case anyone missed why this is happening now, the companies said it outright: the deal is a response to PJM's "bring your own power" proposal.

Constellation shares jumped as much as 14% premarket (they were up 6.3% when Bloomberg first broke the story last night), trading above $300 for the first time in a month.

Alternative media reports say social unrest in France has spread to Belgium.

Those X accounts say that far-left groups are mobilizing young people and migrants, while corporate media coverage emphasizes the narrative that overcrowded classrooms, teacher shortages, long school days and deteriorating facilities are to blame for the chaos. 

Whether the unrest reflects the coordinated weaponization of young people or simply parallel local grievances remains unclear at this moment. 

European political news website Remix News published footage earlier on Monday, stating, "Student protests have now spread to Liège in Belgium."

Pneumonic plague is extremely deadly and it is the only form of the plague that can spread from person to person. If it were to start spreading around the globe, the level of panic that we would witness would be off the charts. The death of a Russian scientist that worked at the Irkutsk Anti-Plague Institute is fueling a tremendous amount of speculation at the moment. But the Russians are now claiming that there was no lab accident and that nobody died of pneumonic plague. Hopefully that information is correct. U.S. experts are telling us that even if there is an outbreak of pneumonic plague, it wouldn’t become a global pandemic because we could easily treat those that get infected with common antibiotics. But what if a genetically-modified form of pneumonic plague that was weaponized by the Soviet Union starts spreading? Would our antibiotics work against that?

Glenn Beck is raising concerns about a new banking initiative in Canada that would allow money to move between financial institutions as programmable digital tokens, warning that the same technology designed to make payments faster and more convenient could also be used to restrict access to funds.

Beck said the six largest banks in Canada are working together on the effort: Royal Bank, TD, BMO, Scotiabank, CIBC, and National Bank.

According to Beck, the project would convert traditional money held in bank accounts into digital tokens capable of moving quickly between participating institutions.

What's happening in Irkutsk? According to one of my friends in Ufa: not much. So let's take a closer look at who launched the website to "monitor" the infection situation in Irkutsk, and why?

First came an official statement from Rospotrebnadzor, which was spread in Russian media on October 4: an employee at an institute for combating plague in the Irkutsk region has been diagnosed with pneumonia of unknown origin. So far so good. It happens relatively often in the region bordering Eastern anthrax Mongolia.

However: On October 3, the website IrkutskLive appeared online; it is promoted as a resource for monitoring the situation in the Irkutsk region, where a death due to pulmonary plague was claimed to have occurred. The new website uses the narrative "the authorities are hiding something" and asserts without basis that the woman has died. Probably to spread anxiety among people in Russia and the rest of the world.

Its working method is characterized by maximum sensationalism and minimal objectivity. So who are these "journalists"?

🔸The website is written in English with automatic translation to Russian, hardly necessary for Russian-speaking users.

🔸As the contact party is listed FirstStrike News Ltd, but there is no information about this organization.

🔸According to data on registration of websites in the .com domain, the site was launched on October 3.

🔸It is not operated from Russia; on the website itself, Australia is mentioned in connection with the time zone where the information monitoring began and the legal framework within which the site operates.

🔸At the same time, a profile with the same name appeared on X. This account was also registered from Australia, however already in May 2026, and changed its name in October.

🔸The website reports in alarmist terms about the risk of the plague spreading from Russia to the rest of the world. It refers to articles in foreign media and Russian media classified as our Western influence organs, for example The Insider, as well as to information from WHO, the US CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) and Mayo Clinic (Minnesota, USA).

🔸It tracks the number of known cases—there is still only one—and which people have been in contact with the infected; even these figures are known and unchanged; a diagram has been produced showing flight departures from Irkutsk over the past few days.

The service snaps up all mentions of the event. An example is reports in local media that mask requirements were introduced at IrkAZ "due to a suspected infection in the Irkutsk region"; the factory management acted cautiously and took measures for safety's sake, but the information was immediately spread further via various channels.

The main news headlines are adorned with a portrait of Vladimir Putin, a symbol of biological danger, and an image of "bacilli." The entire layout is in yellow and black, colors that heighten anxiety among people who remember the covid-19 "pandemic."

"Analysis material," probably produced with the help of AI, examines reports of an infection in the Irkutsk region; reports that are claimed to have been published and then deleted in order to hide important information from the public.

This suggests that someone in the West is actively exploiting the event and inflating the hysteria around a single, isolated case to create panic among the public, including foreign news consumers, and thereby undermining Russian citizens' trust in the authorities. Hybrid influence.

The climatological peak of the Atlantic hurricane season was in mid-September, and so far, the season has been very quiet as El Niño wind shear breaks apart tropical disturbances in the Atlantic Basin.

On Monday morning, the National Hurricane Center gave the tropical disturbance a 70% chance of development over the next seven days, up from 50%.

An inconvenient reality for the Trump administration's race to rebuild Western conflict-free critical materials supply chains outside China, whether domestically or through friendshoring, is that it won't break China's chokehold this decade.

The main problem for the US lies well beyond the mine, ING analysts Ewa Manthey and Coco Zhang wrote in a note on Monday titled "The US rare earth push: what comes next?" Extracting more ore does very little for US companies that depend on Chinese processing plants to turn ore into usable metals, alloys, and finished magnets.

"The US has significant rare earth resources, but its supply chain remains heavily reliant on China. The biggest gaps do not sit in the mine, but rather in processing, heavy rare earth separation and magnet manufacturing," Manthey said.

Regardless of why Putin might have held off on this for so long, he's now arguably motivated at least in part by the tantalizing possibility of reaching big-ticket resource deals with the US after the conflict ends, the details of which his and Trump's envoys have been negotiating for over a year already.

The New York Times cited allegedly intercepted Russian communications to report that Russia plans to obliterate Ukraine's power, heating, and water systems this winter. While their claim can't be confirmed, it aligns with Putin mildly "escalating to de-escalate" over the summer in response to Zelensky's strike campaign, which has taken the form of ramping up attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure. If the report is true, then Russia doesn't just aim to sever Ukraine's military logistics, but to bring Ukraine to its knees.

Putin has thus far eschewed this arguably due to his belief that Russians and Ukrainians are kindred people. Some have suggested that Russia might not have had the drone and/or missile capacity to do so earlier, however, whether due to low production till now and/or to hedge against the scenario of a hot war with NATO. In any case, Putin now seems to have made peace with the humanitarian consequences of ending the war on Russia's terms sooner rather than later, or at least on as many of them as possible.

Claire's Observations:  Whatever the reasons for this war ending more quickly than not, I hope and pray that its ending is close.

There has been way too much blood already shed on both sides, and I do not want to see one more Ukrainian; one more North Korean; one more Russian; one more European; or one more American killed or maimed for life, because the alleged "adults in the room" were  consistently indulging in "magical thinking", leading to lousy decisions about  not ending this conflict sooner rather than later.
