Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Tuesday that Israel was “committed” to “eliminating” the Iranian government and that he spoke about the idea in his recent conversation with President Trump.
A day earlier, Netanyahu released part of a phone call he had with President Trump on Sunday, where he thanked the US leader for endorsing him in the upcoming Israeli elections. In Trump’s endorsement message, he suggested that the US may have to “finish the job” against Iran without the help of Israel if Netanyahu doesn’t remain prime minister.
In his conversation with Trump, Netanyahu said that the US and Israel have a “job to finish,” and his comments on Tuesday suggest that means regime change.
US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth made an unannounced visit to Israel on Monday and met with Netanyahu. The US and Israel have been coordinating closely in the lead-up to the Israeli elections and the US midterm elections, and according to recent reporting from Axios, they have been discussing the possibility of resuming the full-scale bombing campaign against Iran.
Claire's Observations: So, one has to wonder; in their conversations about "eliminating" the current Iranian government, if Trump and Netanyahu decided on how many innocent civilians, women children, and Iranian Jews (YES, about 10,00 Iranian Jews live in, and around, Tehran) do they believe they will need to "exterminate" in order to make their dreams of Iranian regime change get real?!?
Thousands?!? tens of thousands, with hospitals inundated with wounded who cannot be helped, because the hospitals have been bombed before nearly anything else will be?!? Israel loves doing this; ask any Palestinian or other volunteer physician left standing in Gaza!
The standard "bullshit-ista" Israeli propaganda reply is always, that terrorists are holed up in those hospitals so of course, they must be bombed into smithereens. Evacuate the wounded beforehand?!? Hell, no!! The innocents around them were breathing air, and that... had to be stopped!!
Israeli general elections happen next Tuesday, which is 6 days from today.
The most likely sequence of events in a USrael attack against Iran would be destruction of communications; destruction of power infrastructure, probably in tandem with comms destruction; the bombing of military installations. potentially including Pickaxe Mountain; and the bombing of governmental and medical infrastructure.
Would either leader hesitate to use a nuclear bomb here?!?
Trump might; Netanyahu wouldn't hesitate, because if he loses the election and the power of the Prime Ministership, that could see him spend the rest of his life in an Israeli jail, convicted on corruption charges.
Netanyahu therefore doesn't worry about how many such an act would kill, if his order to bomb Iran with a nuke, keeps him in office and out of jail.
