I can’t stop thinking about what happened yesterday at the beach café in Gaza Port.

How many people had made their way there for a moment’s peace at the beachfront? To sit and have a coffee. To breathe for a few moments. To take a moment to forget the mayhem, madness, death, destruction, the daily search for food, water, medicine, shoes, clothes, essentials.

Did they just want to escape the blistering heat of their tents — even for an hour?

“How did you go bankrupt?  Two ways. Gradually, then suddenly.” This quote appears in Ernest Hemingway’s 1926 novel The Sun Also Rises.

In the dialogue, the character Mike Campbell responds to Bill Gorton’s question with this line, highlighting how financial ruin often results from small, compounding compromises before a final, decisive collapse.

The following are my notes from and my reactions to a Chris Martenson video on the imminent collapse of all Western currencies.

Negotiations between the US and Iran have reached an impasse. Trump keeps insisting that a deal is coming, which has kept oil markets sanguine. Unfortunately, a diplomatic off-ramp is becoming less likely.

Though the various “ceasefire” agreements between the Israel and Lebanon governments never really were at the point where anyone said it was safe for the 1.5 million displaced civilians to attempt to return home, the lack of provisions for the long-term displacement meant some 800,000 tried to go home when the situation calmed down even a little. Now, a new wave of displacements is sending many of them back north.

Every administration reaches for the same line. Iran, we are told, is the world’s foremost state sponsor of terrorism — a claim now central to the case for war. It carries the weight of an official designation: Iran has sat on the State Department’s list of state sponsors of terrorism since January 19, 1984, the longest-running designation currently on the books, alongside Cuba, North Korea, and Syria.

President Trump, ever Israel’s loyal puppet, instructed the US Department of Justice (sic) to bring a lawsuit against Harvard for anti-semitism. The Trump regime maintains that Harvard engaged in anti-semitism when some students protested against the Israeli genocide of Palestine.

Somehow free speech, guaranteed by the First Amendment, has become illegal if it results in criticism of Israel. The Trump regime contends, believe it or not, that it constitutes a violation of Jews’ civil rights for Harvard students to oppose genocide. Go figure.

The Southern Poverty Law Center is neither southern nor a poverty law center. Its fundraising seems to be based on the use of the money to create and support racist organizations that it then presented as a threat in order to secure more fundraising.

The organization now faces federal indictment for bank fraud, wire fraud, and money laundering, and if news reports are correct associated persons face personal indictments.

The SPLC seems to be a Jewish organization focused on libeling patriotic Americans.
