"Let us never forget this fundamental truth: the State has no source of money other than money which people earn themselves. If the State wishes to spend more it can do so only by borrowing your savings or by taxing you more. It is no good thinking that someone else will pay—that “someone else” is you. There is no such thing as public money; there is only taxpayers' money."-- Margaret Thatcher

I hate to ask, but we REALLY need some more donations.

Victoria Police and emergency crews responded at about 3:35 p.m. local time to reports that a pedestrian was struck outside Helen Haines’s electorate office on Murphy Street in Wangaratta. Reports identified Haines, 65, as the victim. Witnesses described a loud crash and a woman pinned between vehicles, which matched the scene first responders found. Police said a 43-year-old man was driving a Toyota LandCruiser that struck the lawmaker. Bystanders detained the driver until officers arrived and made an arrest.
