War is heating back up as US-brokered talks adjourn for the month.

While the US-brokered Israel-Lebanon talks didn’t actually wrap up until Thursday, Israel was already scaling the war back up substantially on Wednesday, giving the impression that the relative reduction in violence of recent weeks is coming to an end.

Elsewhere in the town of Yaroun, Haroun and Bint Jbeil, the state agency reported that phosphorus bombs were dropped, resulting in large fires in the areas' olive and pine groves.

Later in the day, Israeli troops opened fire using machine guns towards Wadi Hamoul, near Naqoura.

RAMALLAH: The Palestinian Prisoners’ Society says the case of detainee Mohammad Musa Hamid, 15, exposes systematic crimes committed by the Israeli prison authorities against inmates, including the denial of medical treatment, which it described as “slow killing.”

The society said Hamid, born on Aug. 13, 2010, from Tuqu’ town southeast of Bethlehem, was detained by Israeli forces on Feb. 25, 2026, and held in the minors’ section of Ofer Prison.
