"Let us never forget this fundamental truth: the State has no source of money other than money which people earn themselves. If the State wishes to spend more it can do so only by borrowing your savings or by taxing you more. It is no good thinking that someone else will pay—that “someone else” is you. There is no such thing as public money; there is only taxpayers' money."-- Margaret Thatcher

A CBS News town hall Saturday night saw Vice President JD Vance several times put in a very tough spot. It was a rare moment that a top White House official like him was put directly before voters as they fired off questions.

A one point he was somewhat blindsided by a grieving military husband's necessary and very blunt question over how the admin as well as military leadership has handled the Iran war. His wife, 39-year old Sgt. First Class Nicole Amor was among the first American troops killed in Operation Epic Fury.

The Neocons have won. They have successfully shifted the blame for the Ukraine war entirely onto Russia, and 99% of media coverage now frames the invasion as completely unprovoked. Their hatred of Trump is so intense that they feel compelled to oppose him on principle, regardless of what he does. Now they are cheering Zelensky on to destroy every refinery in Russia, as if this will somehow win the day, lead to Russia’s collapse, and let them dance on Russian graves. Nowhere in the press is there anyone with more than two brain cells to rub together.

Israeli settlers on Saturday attacked a convoy carrying a European delegation in the occupied West Bank, beating up a 78-year-old  French mayor. While Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu – who is just days from a crucial election – described the incident as a "smear" campaign against Israeli settlers, France's top diplomat urged Israel to "urgently halt criminal violence".

US President Donald Trump ruled out using nuclear weapons against Iran, saying Washington did not need them and emphasizing that the “mother of all bombs” was non-nuclear.

Asked during an interview Thursday with Newsmax about reports that his administration was considering using the bomb against Iran, potentially after the US midterm elections, Trump stressed that it was a conventional weapon.

“The mother of all bombs is not nuclear,” Trump said, adding: “This is just an extremely large bomb.”

Violence against Palestinians and the press has been on going problem in Israel in general for years, but the level of such incidents in the occupied West Bank has reached a fevered pitch in recent months, with Israeli settlers attacking people with virtual impunity.
